The attributes of God. Attributes of God describe what he is like. Some of the attributes of God are: Independance: Acts 17 v 24-25 says this - "The God who made the whole world and everything in it is the Lord of the land and the sky. He does not live in Temples built by human hands. This God is the one who gives life, breath and everything else to people. He does not need anything else from them, he has everything he needs" Unchangeable: James 1 v 17 says this - " .. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon and stars who does not change like there shifting shadows" Eternal: Psalm 90 v 2 says - " Before the mountains were born and before you created the Earth and the World you are God. You have always been and you will always be" Omnipresent: Jeremiah 23 v 23-24 says - " 'I am a God who is near' says the Lord I am also God who is far away. No-one can hide where I cannot see him. I feel all of Heaven and Earth" Spirit: He is Spirit not phisycal body like us. A unity: James 2 v 19, "You will believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons beleive that - and shudder" Omniscience: Job 37 v 16, "Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who is perfect in knowledge. 1 John 3 v 20 says, "Whenever our hearts condem us. For God is greater than our hearts and he knows everything." Wise: Romans 16 v 27, "To the only wise God be glory for ever through Jesus Christ!" Psalm 104 v 24, "How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you've made them all; the earth is full of your creatures"
