Doctrines: The Trinity: We believe that there are three persons of God but only one God. These persons are - The Father, The Son, The Holy spirit, - They are three definite, different persons but there is still only one God. Some people believe that there is only one God and only one person but this is wrong. Mark 1 v 10-11: As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw Heaven being torn open and the spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from Heaven: "You are my son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased" |
If you look carefully you can see ALL of the Trinity there; * Jesus, the Son, was coming up out of the water *The Holy Spirit decended on him like a dove * God the Father's voice spoke from Heaven |
What happens when Christians sin? When people have been redeemed by Christ they no longer carry on sinning continuously but we do still sin occasionally. This is because no-one is completely sinless apart from Christ. There are times when we sin, it doesn't matter how big the sin is as we still have forgiveness from God. If we are christian we do not need sin, if we do fall back though we are forgiven and we still stay a christian. Even if we do a really big sin, we are still forgiven as long as we have the right attitude. |
